Ordinary

 Ordinary/Individualism(chapter 20 quotes)

Ordinary
You say,”I alone don’t care”
Then together you say,
you share the same interest.
You say, “I alone am dark”,
But together you say,
we are bright.
“Must you value what others value,
avoid what others avoid?”,
You say
Why are we afraid to stand out?
Why do we always have to blend in?
Feel the same way others feel
Because if not,
Then it’s wrong.
We
Don’t
Have
To
Be
Ordinary.

  1. 1. I love your picture, it's so cute!
    2. I like the message you're writing about, and the change in structure at the end of your poem. It really emphasizes the importance of being your own unique self.

  2. I really love the ending of the poem. It emphasizes that idea that we don't have to conform to what others think we should be, and we are allowed to express our own ideas. We truly don't have to be ordinary, and that message is so important.
