you are complete
When you begin to let go of what others say
you become more simple
When you live your life
by the positive thoughts in your head
not the negative
only then will you truly be yourself
The one who is kind
receives kindness in return
The one who is humble
receives the true spirit of others
The one who respects others
receives respect back
Live for yourself, and you will be happy.
You did a great job imitating the writing style of the Tao te ching. The cadence and the repetition and opposites, all did a good job at exemplifying the Tao te ching.

ReplyDeleteThis poem really does sound like something that would be included in the Tao Te Ching! I love the theme of individualism because it's something that's really important to learn and value in today's society.
ReplyDeleteThis poem imitates the style of the Tao Te Ching really well, and especially because the moral of being yourself is an actual Dao teaching. Great job!
